Sat 30th November. Llanelian Rd, Old Colwyn
Cymru North; attendance 472
The Bay continued their winning streak with a classy performance against a Gresford side who have their noses just above the drop zone. The Bay still slugging it out with Airbus for the top slot and promotion to the Cymru Prem.
The home side laid out their statement of intent with early goals from Craig Lindfield and Gwion Dafydd in the 6th and 8th minute respectively. Two down in less than ten minutes left the visitors reeling. The Bay playing confident passing football, drawing Gresford forward just to catch them with a speedy counter attack. The seagulls had numerous chances but were frustratingly unable to capitalise. The Gresford keeper holding back a claret and blue tide. A decent ball from Lindfield finding Jamie Cumming in the 32nd min to put the home side 3 up. The first half fizzled out and the visitors looked relieved to hear the first half whistle.
The second half continued the misery for Gresford, the Bay coming out all guns blazing, a totally dominant performance. Lindfield bagging two more to take home the match ball and Dan Atkins finishing the game with the Bay 6th in the 90th minute. A notable moment in the game was the addition to the field of play of Gresford sub Alex Cooper, son of Steve Cooper, and yes the ex Swansea manager was in the ground, a proud dad.
The battle for the top slot in the Cymru North continues with Airbus winning 1- 0 away at Ruthin Town.
