Colwyn Bay 1 Caernarfon Town 0

Cymru Premiership

4th Oct 2025, Llanelian Rd

Attendance 871

With the remnants of storm Amy battering the coast of North Wales, the whirlwind that is Caernarfon arrived at Llanelian Rd. Hoping to improve on their loss against Penybont the previous week, the Cofi army came in force. Facing them was a Bay side who have had a poor run of results.

The game kicked off sticking to scrip. Caernarfon attacking the Bay goal, peppering it with shots and dominating the first 20 minutes.  Then in the 22nd minute, against the run of play, Louis Robles scored for the Seagulls sending the crowd into raptures.

The tide of the game turned, and Bay began their attacks,  To add to Caernarfon’s woes Daniel Gossett was sent off in the 36th minute for an awful foul on Aeron Edwards. The Bay came close to adding to their tally when Jamie Cummings free kick just scraped over the bar.

In the second half all the Bays supporters expected the home team to take advantage of their extra man. But nobody had told the Cofis that and they played like lions. Taking the game to the Bay, the visitors were forcing the hosts back into their own half.

In the last 20 minutes Colwyn Bay did what they’ve done all season, and that is to retreat into their own half, not pushing forward. For me Morgan Owen had a standout performance for Caernarfon, great defending and some pinpoint passing.

On The final whistle all the Seagulls’ supporters showed their relief through their cheers and support for their team. Both sets of supporters provided the atmosphere that proves the Cymru Prem can be as exciting as any other match in any other Premier League across Europe.
