Colwyn Bay v Barry Town
Cymru Premiership
1st Nov, Llanelian Rd
Attendance 711
The home side have been on a good streak, lifting them to 5th in the Cymru Prem. Barry have had a mixed few weeks & were in need of points to stay in the top half of the league.

The match had been moved from an afternoon kick-off to 5:15 to allow Sgorio to live stream the match. Potentially a bad move as Barry supporters you made the journey, told me it scuppered their chance to organise an bigger crown for an away day jaunt.
For once there was a strange atmosphere over the crowd at the Bay. It seemed very subdued as the teams came out. But The Seagulls opened up the scoring in the 13th minute with Nathan Pete scrabbling a ball across the line to make it 1-0 to the home side.

Barry seemed motivated by this and began a more attacking phase. They were rewarded in the 20th minute when Ieuan Owen latched on to a defensive mistake. He then confounded the defence & keeper again 5 minutes later to net the visitors second.
The misery was compounded for the Bay when Lewis Sirrell committed a foul right in front of the ref. He received a straight red, and the Seagulls were down to ten.

In the second half Barry continued to pile on the pressure, while looking solid in defence. The crowd seemed to sense more goals were on the cards & Barry duly supplied, with Hulbert & Willmott bagging one each. The visitors harried the home goal, while nullifying any attempt the Bay could muster.
3 big points for Barry, putting them in the top half of the league. Hopefully this was a blip for Y Bae, though they will miss captain and defensive linchpin Sirrell who will be suspended
