Caernarfon Town 6 Llanelli Town 1

GoGoodwins Stadium Llandudno

16th Aug Cymru Premier, attendance 320

Caernarfon are currently playing all their home matches at Llandudno while their pitch & ground are being upgraded. The club has organised a coach for the Cofi army. The home side still looking for their first win in the league, drawing their last game. The visitors looking for their first point; Llanelli recently promoted from the Cymru South.

For the opening 30 minutes the ball hardly touched the baking Llandudno 3G pitch. Both sides playing disappointing “hoof ball”. Caernarfon, finally decided that short, sharp accurate passing was the way forward and were rewarded when a neat pass from Zac Clark found Adam Davies.  Davies finding the net.

Then a minute from half time Smith was brought down in the box and Zac Clarke converting the penalty. 2-0 to the traveling home team.

The second half saw the home side with renewed vigour, with wave upon wave of attacks on the visitors goal. In the 47th & 49th minutes Ryan Seers & Adam Davies added to Caernarfon’s tally.

Llanelli looked tired in the heat of the afternoon, and were pulled apart. Connor Evans adding to their woes to make it 5-0.

A rare Llanelli foray into the home sides half allowed Sean Cronin to grab a consolation goal for the Reds. Though Adam Davies wasn’t finished and secured his hat tricking injury time. It’s still early days in the Cymru Premier, & I’m sure Llanelli will grow into a very competitive league. Caernarfon looked imperious & top the League in week 2.
